Violet was are referral from a previous client. She was a fairly new grad and had obtained her bachelors degree over the past few years while also being a very active and involved parent. The only perceived relevant field specific training she had a brief internship at the end of her program in addition, all the jobs she was looking at were asking for a minimum of one year experience which was turning out to be disconcerting. After completing and document critique of her original resume, discussing and initial skills coaching session, Violet successfully applied recommendations made during the initial and follow-up coaching sessions. The last time we exchanged communication she was cleaning up her cover letter to apply for a government job she was interested in. A few weeks later I got word she had gotten a job. I emailed her to congratulate her success. It was then I discovered it was that job she had worked so hard to prepare for. To top of the celebration, she opted to share this kind message with me: “Thanks Bree. Couldn’t have done it without your tremendous help. You’re the best.”
